Case Bank (Members Only):

The TBLC Case Bank gives members a secure place to exchange curricular materials. There are over 120 different pieces of curricular material in the case bank.

Here is a sample case from the bank.

.

The TBLC is a non-profit organization of health sciences educators using team learning. Our purpose is to support other faculty implementing team learning, to share teaching resources, and to promote evaluation and research on team learning in medical education.

.

Membership Benefits:

The TBLC can help you get started using team learning:

  • Set up a team learning workshop for your faculty
  • Locate a faculty consultant to help with your team learning implementation
  • Link you to case materials, evaluation tools, and research opportunities

.

Annual Meetings:

  • Team-Based Learning Annual Conference: Traditionally, the first day is devoted to workshops for those new to team learning. These sessions introduce the new user to team learning and give them the skills to develop and run a team learning session. The second and third days are devoted to intensive skills seminars, research presentations, networking, and an annual business meeting. When information is available for the 6th Annual Conference, it will be posted in Events.
  • TBLC Meeting at the AAMC and IAMSE: This is an open meeting for members and other attendees with an interest in team learning. The meeting includes short presentations on current projects, discussion of “hot” topics, and opportunities for networking and general discussion.
